Natalie and Marc – when they said they were planning for a winter wedding in March, in St. John’s… I was a little skeptical 😉 But sure enough – the day came and it was the perfect, magical winter day for their stunning wedding. We started the day in Paradise, where the bride and groom got ready next door to each other – perfection!
The flower girl and bridesmaids gifts were sweet and also hilarious!
I love shooting with a second photographer – while I was at the top of the stairs getting Natalie coming down… Amy was off to the side, getting a totally different angle. I love it!
After a busy morning, we all made it on time (almost 😉 ) to St. Patrick’s, a beautiful heritage church in downtown St. John’s.
So, this photo below — is one of my favourites, ever. Sometimes, you’re just in the right place at the right time for the most hilarious moments. This is one of them!
The crew got around all day on the party bus – and the awesome driver had no trouble darting around downtown, up Cuckhold’s Cove and down Quidi Vidi. Have to give him a shout out because he was deadly!
We went to Bowring Park for some classic, relaxed family photos – I love the simple but lovely backdrop of the park (and the light was perfect!)
And then of course a few candid shots with the lovebirds…
Afterwards, we grabbed the bridal party and headed to Quidi Vidi for a bit of fun –
Don’t drop him!
Then, up to Cuckhold’s Cove – where we got caught in a little rain storm, but no worries! We broke out the umbrellas and some lights and made magic with what we had.
Once we were finished with formal shots, the whole crew took off to George Street for a bit of dancing and fun before the reception 🙂
We made a quick pit stop at Signal Hill… then on to Comfort Inn for reception.
Spotlight events did the decor and did an AMAZING job. And as always, the staff at the Comfort Inn were a dream!
Right before the night was over, we darted outside for one last shot with the snow – the perfect end to the perfect snowy day.
Natalie and Marc, thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer! It was wonderful spending the day with you.
