Alex was our photographer for our elopement in St.John's this past October and was truly a dream to work with!
My husband and I planned our wedding from NB and Alex provided excellent support to make sure we had everything in place for our big day.

I'm Alex Stead
Over the course of my career, I've photographed over 500 weddings and elopements, been published by some cool magazines, worked on some great tv shows and films, won some awards, and partnered with brands like LuluLemon, Walmart, Macleans, and various tourism boards.
I really, really love what I do (and I hope it shows!).
I capture big laughs and quiet moments in the wildest places. Real, honest love with Newfoundland’s epic coastline as the backdrop.
My greatest joy is in making sure that the people who work with me have the best possible memories of their time here, and gorgeous photos to remember it by.
I spend most of my time exploring this beautiful big island both as an avid hiker and touring in my little truck camper (and when I'm not on the go, I'm usually renovating my teeny old house on jellybean row). I’m queer, I believe in Leave No Trace, and I care a lot about people feeling safe, seen, and respected while respecting and honouring the environment around us. If you're into that, we’ll probably get along great. :)

Can you make us look less... awkward?
Almost every single person that you see in my gallery has said the same. You don't need any modelling experience to look incredible in your wedding photos.
How much does this cost?
Elopement packages for 2025 start at $2250. Full-day wedding coverage starts at $4200. Please send me a message and I'll be happy to send you a full booking kit with detailed quotes!

As nurses we see all too often that you don’t know what’s coming next, and we are so grateful to have these memories of the most beautiful day spent with friends and family.
