I’m Alex Stead, a photographer in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
I bring over a decade of experience to each project I work on; whether that’s your intimate elopement or wedding, media shoot with a publication, or a branding photo session, I would love to chat to see how I can best bring my skills to bring your vision to life. I have worked with brands such as Lululemon and Walmart, provided stills for tv shows and commercials, and have photographed over 500 weddings in my career. I also mentor new and aspiring photographers in running long-term consistent businesses. I enjoy staying up-to-date on trends and education, and even fourteen years in, am constantly working on my craft.
My goal is to capture photos that tell a beautiful story. I would love to be a part of yours.
When we work together, you can expect to feel heard + seen; I take great pride in creating space for my clients to share their ideas and excitement for their photos. Photography is a collaboration and I love getting to know my clients and their desires before we ever press the shutter.
When I’m not working, you can often find me exploring the island of Newfoundland – I have a truck camper that I built from scrapyard parts that I travel in, and I am often hiking, fishing, and foraging. I love this island with my whole heart, and I especially love showing it off to visitors.
